Volunteers are the backbone of our entire operation at the Humane Society of St. Lucie County. And as we all know without a strong backbone the whole structure cannot support itself. By dedicating your time as a volunteer you are providing quality care for each animal you are helping at our shelter. By walking dogs, cleaning kennels, and taking dogs and cats to outside events you are not only trying to find them great fur’ ever homes, but also helping socialize and make their life a little easier until they find a home. Volunteer opportunities include some of the following:

  • Walking dogs
  • Bathing dogs and cats
  • Cleaning Kennels
  • Helping at outside events
  • Help with outside fundraising
  • Fostering a dog or cat
  • Help with adoptions
