Each year we take in roughly 7,000-8,000 dogs and cats. Each of them has their own personality and story to tell. Most arrive in good health and happy tails. But many arrive as strays, starved, abused, or in need of medical care. Take the story of Henry, for example, who was brought to us after a mother and son found him hobbling on the side of the road. After an X-ray exam revealed Henry’s leg was completely shattered and had to be removed. After weeks of rehabilitation and lots of love Henry is now up for adoption and looking for his fur’ ever home! Our Animal Emergency Fund help’s to provide the necessary clinical procedures these injured animals will need. This will go a long way in allowing us to help more pets in our community.
