The Humane Society is always looking for volunteers to help in the shelter, to help educate the public, and assist with pet therapy and to help with outside adoptions and fundraising events. No prior volunteer experience is necessary. If interested, please contact the Education and Volunteer Coordinator at 461-0687, extension 3, or submit the Membership/Volunteer Form.

Volunteers must:

• Attend an orientation seminar and additional training if and when it pertains to an area in which a volunteer will serve.
• Stay up to date on Humane Society happenings by either attending monthly volunteer meetings and/or being in touch with team leaders on a regular basis.
• Serve on at least one team.

• Be a good liaison for the Humane Society in the community.

“FRIENDS OF THE SOCIETY” IS A VOLUNTEER GROUP FOR THOSE CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS, PATRON MEMBERS AND FELLOW MEMBERS OF THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY. THEY ATTEND SOCIAL FUNDRAISING EVENTS FOR “FRIENDS” AND RECRUIT OTHERS.
