If you are unable to search for or locate the owner, please
transport the animal to The Humane Society of St. Lucie County.
Lost
Your Pet?
If you have lost an animal, please fill in our handy Lost
Animal Report over the phone or send us an email
with the details. The HSSLC receives thousands of lost animals
every year. Submitting a complete lost report will help us
to quickly identify some animals.
The Humane Society keep animals that come in as strays
for five business days in order
to allow adequate time for the owner to claim it and before
the pet is evaluated for the adoption center.
Submitting
a lost report is not a substitute for visiting the shelter
to look for your animal.
We
will do our best to help with your search, but as the owner,
you are ultimately responsible to look for and identify your
pet.
If
you think you we have your cat, please contact us at (772)
461-0687 and ensure you are aware of the requirements for
claiming your pet.
Note: Not all pets are displayed online. Call or visit
the shelter for best results.
We
have many tips for searching
for a lost pet to help you get your pet safely home.
